Canine Fitness
with Nikki Luxenberg

Nikki Luxenberg, CSCC, CCFT, CPDT-KA 


Nikki uses reward-based training to reinforce behaviors when teaching dogs. She believes in building teamwork through clear communication and that training should be fun for both the human and dog. 

Nikki has been training dogs professionally for seven years and is a Certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach through NC State College of Veterinary medicine, a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer through the University of Tennessee, has her CPDT-KA certification, and is a certified evaluator for AKC’s Canine Good Citizen Program and Trick Dog titles as well as AKC Canine Fitness. 


In 2018 Nikki discovered canine fitness and dove in. Ever since then she has continued to grow her knowledge for her own dogs as well as the dogs she works with. Nikki’s goal is to help dogs understand how to use their bodies more efficiently and safely for the sports they participate in through fitness.


Nikki has personally competed in agility, disc, dock diving, barn hunt, and fast cat. Her current competitive dog, Split has multiple agility titles, disc titles and achievements, and a champion trick title. Her boy Bandit who is semi-retired has actively competed in disc and dock diving with multiple accomplishments throughout both sports, he had a short agility career as well. 

Payment, Deposit and Refund Information

  • A deposit of 25% of the seminar is required to hold your spot. 

  • Full payment for the seminar is due by the hard closing date of the seminar. 

  • A cancellation fee of $10 will be applied if cancelling between the soft closing date and the hard closing date. 

  • A full refund will be given any time before the soft closing date.

  • NO REFUNDS will be given after the hard closing date. 

  • Refunds are completely up to the discretion of the seminar host - in certain cases of illness, death, acts of God, etc. full or partial refunds may be given on the day of the seminar in form of account credit, cash, PayPal, etc.  

  • Spots may be sold/given to friends if a participant cannot come and the payment will be the responsibility of the original participant.

Welcome to Fitness Foundations, where we focus on building your canine companion's body awareness, targeting skills, strength, and confidence. In this workshop, we aim to enhance your understanding of proper form and functional movements tailored for your furry friend, making workouts enjoyable for both of you.

Throughout the session, we'll focus on essential aspects of canine fitness including strength, balance, proprioception, and flexibility. Moreover, we'll introduce mental and cardio exercises to keep your pup engaged and energized. Get ready to embark on a journey towards a healthier and happier partnership with your canine athlete!


1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us as we dive into the art of jumping and the fitness skills needed to fully reach your dog's athletic potential! We'll focus on refining the takeoff and landing techniques crucial for your canine companion's jumping execution. Our goal is to teach dogs how to master weight shifting and body control, enhancing their efficiency and power during jumps.

Whether your dog is into agility, disc, dock diving, or any other physically demanding activity, the skills learned in this workshop are universally applicable. Get ready to unlock your dog's full jumping potential and elevate their performance to new heights!
