Seminars with Laurren Zimmerman

About Laurren!

Laurren Zimmerman is a competitive agility handler and coach that shares her home currently with 4 wonderful dogs: a 9 y/o BC Clutch, 3 y/o BC Dublin, 2 y/o BC Savage and 2 y/o Alaskan husky Denali. She is a Certified Canine Athlete Specialist (CCAS) and she is also a H360 graduated handler and alumni. Most of her current handling is verbal based, but she has also worked with multiple OMD coaches in the past - which gives her a firm understanding of body positioning and motion cues. She only uses positive reinforcement for all of her dogs, as she feels it is especially critical during agility training.

Since starting to compete, she has won several regional championships including the 'triple crown' at the Canadian USDAA regional in 2017 at 24". She has made, ran and placed in the top 10 at several National championships in USDAA and UKI, including winning the UKI National Speedstakes Championship in 2018.

This workshop will be a continuation from my previous 'Young Dog' workshops. It will be primarily for those of you who have taken my Beginner Young Dogs Skills & Drills/ Handling/ Course Work previously. Teams will be working through more technical skills and discriminations that will allow them to progress successfully through more course challenges. Teams will focus on the dog's understanding and independence of these skills and grow their team work. This workshop would also be for those of you with younger dogs that are already competing - but, have holes in their foundation & understanding that you need help fixing to progress forward. This workshop will focus more on handling maneuvers and incorporate jumps and tunnels only.
