Marcella got her first personal dog at the age of 14 and was instantly fascinated with dog agility. Her heart dog, Shimmer, helped her learn about clicker training and the power of positive reinforcement and introduced her to many of the people she knows now, including those at Krafty K9! Marcella has been competing in agility since 2007 and since then, has played agility, barn hunt, fastcat, dock diving, nosework, frisbee, rally and herding. While her heart dog is no longer alive, Marcella now shares her life with her three border collies, Vengeance, Fibonacci and Coriolis. She is always striving to learn more and build the connection she has with her own dogs and loves to help others grow this connection as well.

She originally went to Texas A&M University for veterinary school but soon found that her true passion was dog training and behavior. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences she moved back to Houston.

Marcella has taught a variety of classes in the past and is an AKC CGC and Trick Dog Evaluator and AKC ATT Evaluator. Additionally, she teaches private sessions to clients in the Houston area. Marcella resides in the Northwest Houston area with her three border collies. When she's not busy training with clients or her own dogs, Marcella is often enjoying the outdoors, hiking with her dogs or practicing her photography. She is the Training Director for Krafty K9 and The Fundamental Dog and currently teaches pet dog classes, nosework and agility at Krafty K9 and pet dog classes at The Fundamental Dog. Her dogs' accomplishments include titles in agility, nosework, dock diving, barn hunt, fastcat, rally and frisbee.
