Agility Seminars with Morgan Hanson

July 25-27, 2025

Morgan has been doing agility for about 20 years and is a 26-time national finalist in AKC, USDAA, and UKI and has won 4 national agility championships with placements in many more. Morgan has also won and placed at many cup, classic, and regional events with multiple dogs and accumulated numerous championship titles across multiple dogs as well. She has worked with various breeds and is excellent at troubleshooting issues that may arise in training and has a great eye for fine tuning handling skills. Morgan is comfortable teaching a wide range of experience levels in agility and works regularly with first time agility students as well as experienced competitors who actively compete at the highest levels of agility. Morgan is highly sensitive to the dogs well-being and emotional state, and is excellent at problem solving arousal and stress behaviors in dog agility. Overall, Morgan is great at adjusting to the teams in front of her and pushing each team to improve based on their specific needs and agility goals.

SKILLS & DRILLS - ALL LEVELS

Friday, July 25th
4 - 8 pm
**dinner included**

Suitable for any dog at any level as long as they are sequencing jumps and tunnels. Masters level challenges will be featured, but sequences can be broken down into small sections for less experienced teams. Workshop will focus on handling; discovering the best and fastest lines and fine tuning skills.

AGILITY PRE-K

Saturday, July 26th
10 am - 12:30 pm

Lay out a proper foundation for your agility puppy. Perfect for dogs between 4 to 10 months, but open to all dogs who need a solid foundation! Learn how to build fundamental skills such as impulse control, a solid understanding of shaping, marker words, tunnel games, and introducing all things pertaining to verbal cues.

INTERMEDIATE SEQUENCING

Saturday, July 26th
1:30 pm - 5:30 pm

You've done foundations, and you're not quite doing full coursework. This seminar is for connecting the dots! Workshop will feature short drills that focus on building an understanding of obstacle commitment, impulse control, and a reliability on listening to verbal cues that have already been introduced. Small sequences with relevant trends will be used to work through as well. Discussion will be held around what skills are necessary to train a young dog given the current course design trends. Dogs must know tunnels and jumps (do not have to be at full height) to participate.

  • Pre-requisites: Dogs must be able to take jumps and tunnels (introduced to those obstacles)

INTERNATIONAL HANDLING

Sunday, July 27th
9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Suitable for those competing at the master’s level with the desire to be pushed outside your comfort zone! Work through commonly seen elements in international coursework and determine the best and fastest handling options. Additionally, discuss the necessary skills to get through Premier, ISC or UKI-type
course work.
