Go Weave!

Entries, distance, speed, oh my!

Saturday, September 16th

11:00 am - 2:00 pm

1/6 working spots available

unlimited audit spots available

Weave poles are a very detailed obstacle and the dog's need to be able to generalize them depending on the course. Sometimes dogs go to fast and cant find the entries, other times dogs might not have enough commitment to drive forward to the weaves. Dogs tend to pop out early, or go to fast and miss poles. Dogs may have trouble with you being on one side, but not the other. There are many other issues dogs can have with weave poles as well! As long as your dog can do 6 weave poles (in line or slightly open channels) then you will benefit from this workshop!

**all levels welcome - dogs should have already been introduced to weaves. This will be more of a trouble shooting seminar rather than working from the ground up**

Whether you are new to the sport or you have been competing for years, handling is a skill that needs continuous practice to optimize the performance of a team. In this hybrid seminar, we will be focusing on the person's understanding of handling as much as the dog. We will start by breaking down handling into its most essential elements without your dog. Once the skills are fluent, we’ll bring out your dog and put the handling skills into sequence.

**all levels welcome - dogs should have already been introduced to at least a few jumps and tunnel/training concepts to benefit from this seminar. We will only be working jumps and tunnels**

Course Memorization Techniques

Exercises to help you with agility course memorization

Saturday, September 30th

1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

3/6 working spots available

unlimited audit spots available

We are our dog's pilot on course, and if we do not accurately know where we are going, it can be a disaster. Every agility handler has gotten lost on course at some point! Course memorization is a very hard thing to master in agility! Many factors come into play as to why people may get lost. Perhaps the judge has used a jump numerous times, or maybe a section of the course repeats itself within the same section. There are many techniques for this, but what works for one person may not work for another. In this workshop we will introduce different ways to help with course memorization.

**we will be working through open/masters type jumpers courses**
